Creating Smiles One Mile at a Time

Did you know that crooked, buck teeth are the number one target for bullies? Imagine being a parent and every day your kid comes home in tears because of relentless taunts and bullying from classmates. It would be heartbreaking. And let’s face it, there are tens of thousands of families who can’t afford orthodontic treatment to stop their children’s suffering at the hands of bullies.

The GOOD news? Smile For A Lifetime is a national nonprofit organization that pairs children in need of orthodontic treatment with dental professionals who donate their time and talents to give these children their best possible smile. This life-changing treatment is provided at NO cost to families. ProBiora Health is all about healthy smiles and is delighted to be a Stoker Level sponsor for this historic fund raiser; an event that will literally create “Smiles One Mile at a Time” and change children’s lives.

Smile for A Lifetime board chair and orthodontist, Dr. Dan Montano, and his colleague Dr. Robert Relle, an oral maxillofacial surgeon, are cycling from Santa Monica, CA to Virginia Beach, VA to raise funds and awareness for these kids and to recruit doctors. They will be accompanied by two fellow cyclists and will start their journey in the wee hours of September 12 at the Santa Monica Pier, CA. The group plans to dip their tires five weeks later in the waters at Virginia Beach, VA. We did the math – that’s more than 2700 miles across the US in five weeks – whew!
